Penn State’s Sandusky Guilty on 45 Counts

Finally, some justice for all the boys that this despicable pervert molested and raped.  As I write this post, the prosecution team is addressing reporters and the curious crowds that gathered to hear the verdict.  Pennsylvania Attorney General, Linda Kelly, was applauded as she approached the microphones.

Sandusky, a 68-year-old retired defensive coach who was once Paterno’s heir apparent, was found guilty of Friday of 48 counts. He faces life in prison at sentencing, which is weeks away.

Sandusky showed little emotion as the verdict was read. The judge ordered him to be taken to the county jail to await sentencing in about three months.

Eight young men testified in a central Pennsylvania courtroom about a range of abuse, from kissing and massages to groping, oral sex and anal rape. For two other alleged victims, prosecutors relied on testimony from a university janitor and then-graduate assistant Mike McQueary, whose account of a sexual encounter between Sandusky and a boy of about 10 ultimately led to the Paterno’s dismissal and the university president’s ouster.  Fox News

I hope they disarm him. I also hope that one day, men who to do this to little girls will be getting the same kind of sentences. Nothing damages people the way child sexual assault damages people.

    • You know I’ve often wondered if all those Penn State folks would have ignored the reports and accusations if Sandusky had been molesting and raping little girls. If Mike McQueary had come upon Sandusky raping a 10 year old girl, would he have just walked away?

I think there is a double standard in our culture when it comes to the molestation of boys. Almost as if it’s open season on boys in a way it would never be when girls are involved.

I commend Attorney General Linda Kelly’s for her compassionate address to the public and to the media. And, as far as Sandusky is concerned, he needs to be in solitary confinement for the rest of his life. Prison, among prisoners,HA! THAT is too easy for him to hunt new prey.

Those boys have done so much for so many other boys… my hope is that they too will step forward with millions of supporters beside them!
I am sorry that Joe Paterno will not have to defend himself.. at least not here.
