In a dramatic turn of events in the Trayvon Martin media extravaganza down in Florida, Al Sharpton has temporarily backed down from his divisive race-baiting bullying and has offered a modest apology to the family of George Zimmerman.
After receiving several mild rebukes from other African-American leaders, including Turner Clayton, the president of the Seminole County chapter of the NAACP, Sharpton shocked his followers last night by stating that the Zimmerman family was “not on trial here” and then urged the crowd of several thousand “not to condemn the family for what one of their own might have done”.
Sharpton stated he was sorry for his part in stirring up mob hatred against the Zimmermans which has resulted in family members having to live in hiding. He also chastised Spike Lee and Roseanne Barr for irresponsibly Tweeting home addresses and deliberately endangering the lives of the innocent.
Yes you got me too, thought there might be some reason still left.Ha!
Unfortunately, reason isn’t paying the kind of bucks that Sharpton is looking for.
You got me alright!
Cute!
I couldn’t resist.
