Tributes are pouring forth from all corners of the alternative media world today in acknowledgment of the contributions of Andrew Breitbart to the conservative cause and to the political art of investigative journalism.
Rush Limbaugh referred to Breitbart as a bulldog and that’s exactly what Andrew was—a determined, tenacious, and fearless fighter. There have been many fine words spoken about this great conservative soldier, but I’d like to quote some comments that I saw over at Legal Insurrection, compliments of Joan of Argghh.
Pick up the fallen flag and take the battle to their doorstep: Each of us, in our own city, at the doors of the media complex that is lying to our fellow citizens.
The biggest mistake we can make at this juncture is to go back to waiting around for the next Whoever to ride in and save us. Because that’s a strategy full of FAIL.
Get busy out there and earn some enemy flak! Wear it like a badge of honor. Andrew always did.
Gutsy, that was my first thought and I continue to feel that way! What a loss, but we have to learn from his courage and continue the fight. RIP

I did not want to put this on Twitter. This forum is intelligent and adult, so I’ll say it here. “Just saying”: Andrew Breitbart revelled in the enemies he made, and he had them in some high places. He mentioned at CPAC he had “videos” that would damage BHO. OK, admiitedly not the healhiest life-style in the world, Breitbart burnt the candle at both ends at times, but a 43yo man goes out for a walk in LA aftermidnight and collapses on a “cardiac event.” Now, similar things have happened by “design.” Now, an autopsy in LA….liberal citadel. Maybe I’m being paranoid?
In this evil world today, it’s not easy to distinguish a sense of paranoia from a genuine threat. Anything is possible.
We’re all in this together, as I see it. It doesn’t matter what country you’re from, people who value Western/Judeo-Christian values must stick together and fight the forces of evil that want to eliminate those values. Andrew Breitbart was perhaps one of the most influential leaders for our cause, and his death certainly leaves a void, but I have no doubt that his seemingly superhuman spirit will live on and inspire conservatives to aspire to be as tenacious and passionate (yet reasoned) as he was. I’m sure all will fail, but his legacy will perhaps be almost as powerful as he was.
Well said, Rattlesnake. This is just the beginning, the opening salvos of a war we intend to win. And we all have our part to play–we can only get stronger.
