As the Left-wing secular legions attempt to drive our religious heritage from the American public stage, there are some brave souls out there who are pushing back against the hellions of anti-religious hate.
The priests and parishioners of Saint Raymond’s Catholic Church in Downey, California outside of Los Angeles, flash mobbed their local mall on Monday, much to the surprise of holiday shoppers. Orderly, respectful, and considerate, these daring Christians brought their faith forward, unapologetic, unashamed. At the end of the service, the mall Muzak began playing We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Perfect timing.
OK, I know something about the symbolism and rituals here, and if those priests brought to that mall what I think they did, sorry…they were out of line. Other ways to make their point. A good point tho; and with respect, there’s other ways to live a same-sex orientation than the Dignity approach.
Too bad they didn’t invite Dignity along. Oh, wait…
I think it’s wonderful that Christianity continues to occupy center stage in this country. It certainly belongs there. But I hope it shows up full force in ALL its manifestations. We can’t let a few narrow-minded zealots legislate their own, particular interpretation of Scripture for everybody else.
Freedom of worship and religious expression means freedom for EVERYONE who believes. Not just for those whose beliefs are the most popular. Our Constitution was intended to protect the viewponts of those whose convictions might NOT be so popular, too.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing the video!
