Here’s a list of some of my favorite Christmas DVDs. They’re not in any particular order other than how they happened to pop into my head. So what are your best flicks of the Christmas season?

I’m really glad you mentioned Christmas in Connecticut. Barbara Stanwyck is my all-time favorite and I like a good romance any day.
There was always something unique about Stanwyck and she was always great in romantic comedies.
My favorites National Lampoon, Christmas Story and Home Alone
I especially enjoy Christmas Story–a young boy’s longing for a genuine Red Ryder BB gun. A great portrayal of a mid-west working class family. Jean Shepherd really had the ability to humorously portray authentic Americana.
The Bells of St. Mary’s. And — though not particularly a “Christmas” film, The Lion in Winter (which does take place at Christmas).
Forgot about the Bells of St. Mary. Bergman was great in that.
Okay, my all time favorite is “It’s a Wonderful Life”. So many lessons there. I also love “The Christmas Story”. Can’t miss, “Rudolf, Frosty, Grinch, Charlie Brown Christmas, and the one with Heat and Snow Miser. That about covers it.
What was great about the Charlie Brown Christmas was its simple and open Christian message. Really sweet.
