Victor Davis Hanson, historian and excellent observer of the American political scene, expressed a viewpoint yesterday in the National Review Online that many of us in the conservative movement have held for some time.
Last summer, when I had the opportunity to dine with some great Tea Party folks down in Washington DC, Mr. Davis’ refrain was echoed by everyone at our table. The election of Barack Obama most definitely had its up side for the conservative movement. His win in 2008 pushed progressivism front and center into the glaring public spotlight. And its ugly countenance proved much too much for most Americans to stomach. And it was only a matter of time before Mr. O’s phony credentials would OUT this Left-wing bungler as the affirmative action fraud that he has indeed turned out to be.
