The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) has exhibited a very hypocritically one-sided approach in their quixotic quest for a slur-free society. For an organization that claims to be so concerned about every word and image that might reflect negatively on gays and lesbians, this outfit certainly has no problem applauding the defamation of those of us who choose not to run with the exceedingly illiberal progressive herd.
GLAAD announced today that their media award for Best Blog is going to Mister Joe Jervis for his progressively gay weblog, JoeMyGod. Mr. Jervis is an interesting fellow who pours out his patter in a very personally pointed fashion with a special emphasis on conservative gays and lesbians who he obviously finds particularly threatening. It’s a bit surprising that GLAAD, the gay godhead of anti-defamation, would choose to honor Mister Joe, the Ed Schultz of gay commentary. But hey, this is Gay Inc, the incestuous little in-crowd of self-important homos.
And you know, two can play at this little awards game….hmmm….something to think about. Here’s what GOProud had to say about this all too predictable pat on the back.
