The War on Christmas: The ‘C’ Word is Back

Tis the season to be jolly.  And it’s also the season when all the good little Multicultural Grinches get together to wipe Christianity off the face of Western Civilization.  But the times they are a-changin.  Today, the secular storm troopers seem to be getting more and more resistance to their soviet-style suppression of our Christian heritage.

Over the pond in Ninnyville where saying the ‘C’ word could be construed as a hate crime, there is a glimmer of regret concerning the cancellation of Christmas.  The British government announced over the weekend that they were now big boosters of the Christian context of the holiday season and were officially declaring an end to the War on Christmas.

Council chiefs were today urged by the Government to celebrate the ‘Christian basis’ of Christmas.  Communities Secretary Eric Pickles said that ‘politically correct Grinches’ should not be allowed to obscure the fact that it is a festival to mark the birth of Christ. He called for the likes of the Winterval festival of the 1990s – which combined secular and inter-faith religious elements – to be consigned to the “dustbin of history”.  We should actively celebrate the Christian basis of Christmas, and not allow politically correct Grinches to marginalize Christianity and the importance of the birth of Christ.”

Now if the Nanny State can manage to face the Multicultural Medusa without turning into secular stone, it’s time to tip the tables on our homegrown Grinches and let them know just whose cultural heritage they’re crapping on.  It’s time for a Merry Christmas coup.
