Draw Mohammed Contest: The Winner Is…

The Winner!

Pajamas Media sponsored an Everybody Draw Mohammed Contest organized by one of its contributors who goes by the name of Zombie.  The contest offered the winning cartoonist a death sentence decree worth $10,000.  The declared winner of the Pajamas Media contest turns out to be the  artist Tad Pole, whose clever portrayal of Mohammed clearly captures the barbarity, the misogyny, and the rampant cruelty that is the essence of Radical Islam.

And now that the first Everybody Draw Mohammed Day has come to a close, I thought a little down-to-earth rationale was in order.  When I read Zombie’s article on Pajamas Media on Thursday, I knew I wanted to highlight it here on my blog.  For all those naysayers out there who tut-tutted their disapproval over the Mohammed cartoon contest, I especially encourage you to read Zombie’s article about what is really at stake here for Western civilization.  Some excerpts of the article follow.

The modern world dawned with the American and French Revolutions and the emergence of the explicitly secular state — the Americans rejecting the Church of England as Britain’s legally enforced national religion, and the French shrugging off centuries of acquiescence to domination by the Catholic Church in civil affairs. In both cases, new governmental paradigms were established in which there was an inviolable separation of church and state, which in practice meant no civil laws enforcing religious doctrines and (most importantly for our discussion) no laws against blasphemy.

Well, the Spanish Inquisition may be a distant memory now relegated to Monty Python skits, but the self-appointed Islamic Inquisition is threatening to take its place. Remember that the Spanish Inquisition existed for the purpose of enforcing religious dictates on the general populace, including and especially religious crimes such as heresy, blasphemy, and apostasy…

And here we come to the crux of the matter: Which side in this conflict gets to determine what counts as “disrespectful”, a contemporary euphemism for “blasphemous”? In the jihadists’ view, any depiction of Mohammed — even a positive or honorific depiction — is deemed blasphemous. It’s our religion, they say, so we get to say what’s offensive….Yet if we grant them this inch, they’ll take another and once again we will be living in an intellectual Middle Ages in which religious tyrants dictate our every thought and action.

So you can see the urge of every sane-minded Westerner to say a hearty Fuck You! to anyone who tries to erode away the bedrock of our free society.

A great article.  And it’s also worth the time reading all the comments—I laughed out loud over some of them.  It’s so encouraging to see so many Americans getting angry and fed-up with all this multicultural crapola.  It’s time to take a stand against the Muslim Mafia.

Amen to that! The wisdom of our founders was this; God gives us liberty to make up our own minds. He has a judgment day set aside and, when we choose not to abide His laws, we will be judged. But until then, He gives us our inherent right to choose-wisely or unwisely. Then there is the law of the land. Much based upon biblical principles and values. Our founders knew that mankind is flawed and have need for restraint, discipline, and law. Therefore, they built a Republic, or, law, with the Constitution. We have democracy in our voting society, but no matter how that democracy is applied, it must always be tempered by our republic.

Separation of Church and State means that Congress cannot create a national religion and force its observance. Neither can Congress outlaw its observance. In other words, the Government can neither force, nor prevent, worship. Our founders worshipped in the U.S. House of Representatives. But the Supreme Court ruling in the early 1960s inadvertently prohibited worship anywhere a person so rightfully chose. This was a violation of our Constitutional right to freedom of worship. Liberals have twisted this to mean freedom FROM religion. The Clause also prevented Congress from showing partiality toward one denomination while discriminating toward others, as that would be akin to observing a national religion. Our society is national, but not our Government. It is Federal. In closing, States have every Constitutional right and duty to bring God back into their Government and schools, while not encroaching on the rights of those who do not wish to participate. Regardless of what obama has declared, we are NOT a muslim nation, but a Christian nation.
