Romney Rocks at CPAC

Ok, so maybe Romney didn’t exactly rock per se at CPAC, but he did win over the patriotic faithful at the 2012 Conservative Political Action Conference. CPAC’s straw poll final figures have Romney at 38%, with Santorum at 31%, Gingrich at 15%, and Paul at 12%. Continue reading

Romney Takes Nevada

After winning 47.6% of the vote in Nevada and with Gingrich, Paul, and Santorum straggling across the finish line well behind the frontrunner, I think it’s pretty clear who will turn out to be the Republican nominee for President. Continue reading

Ann and Mitt Romney: A Marriage Primer

Since there has been a lot of talk lately about the spouses of presidential candidates and since that chatter seems to have been mostly concerned with Mr. Newt’s three lady loves, I thought it would be nice to take a look at the marriage of Ann and Mitt Romney. Continue reading

What’s Wrong with Romney

So just what’s wrong with Mitt Romney’s campaign? Well, Mark Steyn, commentator, columnist, radio host, and author, has concisely and accurately hammered the political nail directly on the head. Romney Wins New Hampshire

It may still be early in the presidential campaign season, but I think it’s time for us conservatives to get used to the obvious fact that Willard Mitt Romney will end up as the Republican nominee for President of the United States. In his speech in New Hampshire this evening, Romney indeed sounded very presidential. And he certainly talked the Tea Party talk. Continue reading

Rick Santorum for President? Seriously?

Rick Perry is Officially IN: Let the Games Begin

It’s now official: Rick Perry, Governor of Texas, is a publicly proclaimed candidate for the Republican presidential nomination for 2012. And already up and running is the Rick Perry for President website which went live this afternoon.
Having been sorely disappointed at the motley crew of Republican presidential contenders currently strutting their stuff in Iowa, I’m pleased and more than a bit relieved to see Governor Perry tossing his Texan hat into the political 3-ring circus. I certainly have respect for Michele Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty, but quite frankly, neither project that presidential demeanor that is the quintessential quality for any successful candidate running for president today.
