Jokes, Insults, and No Sense of Humor—Welcome to the White House Correspondents Dinner

Jimmy Kimmel did a standup comedy schtick at the 2012 White House Correspondents Dinner for an exceedingly Left-leaning audience of media, Hollywood, and progressive politicians.  Although there were some familiar faces on hand to represent real life as we know it, like Chris Christie, Governor of New Jersey, the bulk of the monied mugs paying homage to themselves were the usual supercilious suspects.

And even though Kimmel laced his comic commentary with plenty of shots at personalities on both sides of the political divide, the only man boob stupid enough to make a public stink about the jab elbowed in his direction was the ever-pompous, self-important Keith Olbermann.

It was interesting to note the tension in the room when Kimmel took aim at some of the sacred cows of the Left.  I can’t wait to see what the 2013 dinner will be all about when President Romney is sitting there in the seat of honor.

Kimmel hosts the late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC.

“Mr. President, Sallam”. I almost died laughing! “Cover your ears if that’s physically possible”, Wonderful! “Remember when the country rallied around you with the hopes of a better tomorrow? That was hillarious”, holy S&%T ! “There’s a term for guys like president o’bama, probably not 2 terms..but”. ” Ask Eric Holder to get you some guns”, I’m dying! “The people that watch Bill Maher know he’s an asshole”. Keith Olberman… Keith Olberman??? A truly loathsome man. I honestly believe he is mentally ill. And true to liberal form, ALWAYS angry.

    • Despite the comedic cracks at Republicans and Limbaugh, it was pretty gutsy to take all the shots that he did at Obama. Loved it.

And Olbermann’s endless sense of grievance and anger–just what Tammy Bruce was talking about in her book, that Lefties have a lot of unresolved personal/psycho issues that they project onto the world.

Wasn’t this the 2012 dinner? Or is it me?
